The Marriage Course online in the Bay Area is hosted by Matt and Sherrah Behrens of Calvary Lutheran Church in San Lorenzo and Aaron and Sofia Putnam of LINC Bay Area.
Matt and Sherrah Behrens
Matt and Sherrah celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in October 2023. They met at a summer camp and retreat center in Texas where Matt was working and Sherrah was volunteering. Since getting married they have lived in Texas, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, back to Texas, and now San Lorenzo, CA. They’ve lived in San Lorenzo for almost two years. Matt is pastor of Calvary Lutheran Church, and Sherrah works from home as a freelance writer and editor. They homeschool their two children, ages 12 and 10.
Aaron and Sofia Putnam
Aaron and Sofia have been married 19 years. They met in Guatemala where Sofia lived and Aaron was serving as a missionary. They have lived in the Bay Area for 16 years. Aaron is director of LINC Bay Area and Sofia is a preschool teacher. They have four sons, ages 24, 18, 15, and 13.

For our leaders in the Bay Area, the desire to connect with their community is present but they need a guide to make meaningful and sustained connections. Calvary Lutheran Church is a community of people drawn to Jesus and finding identity, calling, and friends on this journey.
Calvary is located in San Lorenzo, California. We worship at 17200 Via Magdalena in San Lorenzo at 9 am on Sunday mornings at 9 am.
